Dollars 4 Scholars Startup Weekend Toronto prototype
I developed the prototype for the Dollars 4 Scholars Startup Weekend Toronto project November 2013. Startup Weekend Toronto was a hackathon, and this one had the theme of developing innovative, education-focused solutions. The Dollars 4 Scholars Startup Weekend Toronto project is a web-based product that aims to bring merit-based scholarships to students based on their marks and achievements. I did the front-end development, implementing the designs provided by a talented graphic designer, and creating a simulated prototype of how the app is intended to function. You can view the YouTube video here as well as read about the project below.
Dollars 4 Scholars home page design
The home page has a brief intro, a tally of scholarships paid out through Dollars 4 Scholars, and an introductory video of how the service is intended to work. Users can log in to the app from here, update their marks and view the scholarships they are eligible for.
Fully Responsive Design
The website prototype for the Dollars 4 Scholars app is fully responsive and optimized for mobile phones. You can access everything on the website from your phone just as if you were on your computer.
Users will be able to login either from their phones or their computers and access their dashboard.
Dashboard
The Dollars 4 Scholars dashboard allows users to alter their grades and view their eligibility for scholarships.
Again, you can see the Dollars 4 Scholarship prototype in action here on YouTube.
